Development across Depths of Erendorn continued this week with a focus on refinement, readability, and world presentation. The team progressed creature development, improved player-facing interface elements, and carried out a range of environmental updates designed to enhance both visual clarity and exploration. Together, these changes help strengthen the overall player experience while continuing to build a more polished and immersive world. 3D Modelling
Over the past week, the 3D modelling team has continued refining the Vaznarite, focusing on enhancing the creature's visual identity through additional sculpting and detail work. Development has centred on progressing the high-resolution sculpt, with further surface definition and form refinement helping to strengthen the creature's overall silhouette and presence. Particular attention was given to the Vaznarite's armour, where new detailing has been introduced to create a rougher and more weathered aesthetic, reinforcing its rugged character and helping the design feel more grounded within the world of Depths of Erendorn. These ongoing refinements continue to bring the creature closer to its intended final appearance while establishing a stronger foundation for future texturing and animation work.

Programming
Client
The Client team has focused on refining a wide range of user interface and user experience elements across Depths of Erendorn, with particular attention given to improving the presentation and readability of player abilities. Ongoing review and iteration have been carried out on ability descriptions, tooltips, and related interface components to ensure information is communicated more clearly and consistently during gameplay. These updates help improve player understanding of character abilities and combat mechanics, while also contributing to a more polished and intuitive overall experience. As development continues, this ongoing UI and UX refinement remains an important part of making game systems more accessible and informative for both new and experienced players.
Environment Art
Throughout the past week, the Environment team has continued refining landscape presentation and player navigation across Depths of Erendorn through a series of terrain and foliage improvements. Vegetation density and composition were revisited, with tall grass reduced in scale and new grass varieties introduced to create more natural coverage and better visual balance throughout the landscape. Additional updates to the landscape material system now prevent both grass textures and foliage meshes from appearing above designated altitude thresholds, helping biomes transition more naturally across different elevations. The team also improved the new player experience by relocating the character spawn area to an elevated position, providing clearer sightlines and stronger visual guidance when players first enter the world.

That’s it for this week’s devlog, but have you seen our monthly roundup of May yet?!
